It didn't happen today. Too much homework and other commitments. It will HAVE to be tomorrow night. Sigh. But the family pictures of what did delay Christmas are on the Family Picture Page as the Thanksgiving in Disneyland and Trip to Boston .

Well, what kind of Christmas site it this? Still no tree? Saddly yes. No tree, yet. It's been a busy month and we haven't yet had a day when everyone one in the family has been home. This Tuesday evening (the 17th) we will finally get our tree.

It's coming! Christmas is just around the corner! I'm putting up Christmas decorations this weekend but we will probably wait until December 14th to put up the tree because members of the family will be in and out for the next few weeks. If I can get it set up, I hope to have a camera looking out of the tree to give a "Christmas Tree" view of Christmas.

Halloween is behind us and we're getting ready for Thanksgiving. I wish we could get some winter weather here -- it's just cold but not rain. I mean, it's the first of November and the leaves are still on the trees.

It's official, Christmas is here! I visited our local Costco and they had light covered reindeer for my front yard.  Just what I need in August!!  :) Patio is finished and cameras are back to their normal places.

 Upgrading Apache and PHP for security and XSLT functionality.  (Damn those script kiddies who make life rough for the rest of us.) You might find the page messed up as the update happens -- hey, I'm not a big ISP with test servers and phased release process.

 I just upgraded the firmware on my AudioTron -- a cool device that plays my mp3's through my stereo system.  (Note to RIAA: all music is from CDs I purchased so go away!).  A little script hacking makes "now playing" show up on this page.  Now you know what we're listening too.

 Not much to report... I'm thinking of moving the living room cam closer to the dining room since the kids are playing D&D there on Friday evenings -- from it's current position you can't see what's happening.  I might need a new camera, too.  It seems fuzzy.

 Merry Christmas!!  Well, the presents are open, much candy has been eaten, and the kids are already bored with their toys.  We had a few visitors to the chat room and exchanged greetings with England and Germany as well as places in the USA.  Now to think about cleaning up the house for the party next weekend.  Well, maybe a nap first.

 GE came to fix, ordered a part but hasn't asked for money yet.  Looks like the part they replaced 6 months ago may still be under warranty.

 You'll notice the fan in the kitchen and the refrigerator pulled out.  It happened again (last time 6 months ago).  The frig leaked -- raining water into the room below and warping the wood floor.  Not happy with this GE frig at the moment.

 The bday party didn't work out well -- they turned the light off and then turned it against the wall because they didn't want to be watched. Ah well.

 I have been rather negligent at keeping up the site, but now I need to get ready for this year's ChristmasCam!  Maybe a camera in the Christmas tree?  The kitchen is finished so I need to mount the camera so you can see more. And the livingroom is fuzzy. I need to look into that, too.

The plasterers had to remove the shelf I had the kitchen cam on.  It will be back once painting is complete (another week).  The floor goes in today and cabinets next week.

They have ripped out walls and the electricians have removed all of the lights.  The kitchen won't be very interesting at night until they get the new lights up.

Things have been delayed a few weeks while I went in for back surgery.  Happily I'm better now (ruptured disk all fixed) so the remodel can begin.  I'll move the camera next weekend and we'll get the demolition under way.

The plans have been approved by the city and we're out ordering cabinets and windows.  I'll have to move the kitchen camera to get the whole scene but that will be in the next week or two.

 Christmas Cam 1999 has come and gone.  Back to our normal life on the web.  We're working on the plans to remodel the kitchen so we'll be RemodelCam in a month or two.  I'm getting set up to do a timelapse video.
